Ben This song mixes different elements together in a unique way. By the end of the song I feel transported. Favorite track: When I'm Gone (w/ Mücha).

koto_kid Complex, shape-shifting sounds wrapped in Datassette's trademark meticolous sound design make this an absolute gem of electronic music. Favorite track: Nowhere.

about

Spanning 5 years, 80% of the works here are one-shot stereo recordings of hardware jams, usually to tape, sometimes with collaborators. Hitting record as soon as some elements sound interesting, experimenting for half an hour or so, then editing together all the highlights. This way of working means no over-engineering and no undo, like writing in black sharpie. You behave differently when you're making permanent marks.

Similar methodology was carried through to the cover design, using Letraset, Letratone, magazine cuttings, scissors, spray mount and paper.

VOID FILL PRODUCT was released exclusively on Bandcamp on April 24th 2020. The original handmade artwork was made available for purchase on May 1st 2020.
